William Hayward Obituary
Hayward, William A 29-year resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Trucksville, Pa., he died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. He was 67, a U.S. Army veteran and a self-employed consultant to the plastics industry. He was a member of American Legion Post 335, twice past president of the Gulf South Central Section of the Society of Plastics Engineers and past president of the Downtown Lions Club of Baton Rouge. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Diane Scheunemann Hayward; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Ann and Dave Buck of Naperville, Ill.; son and daughter-in-law, William Charles and Malia Hayward, Anchorage, Alaska; son, Steven Michael Hayward, Baton Rouge; and three grandchildren, Maya, Alexandria and Zachary Hayward, all of Anchorage. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Sunday, Aug. 21, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and at the funeral home chapel on Monday, Aug. 22, after 10 a.m. until religious service at noon. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Laura Price Hayward; brother, Donald Hayward; and sister, Beverly Hayward Smith Scullion. Special thanks extended to Summit Hospital, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Neurological Medical Center, Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet, Promise Specialty Care and Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City.
